Soya milk drinking family

It has been so long where do we begin? Easter was a great weekend as Uncle Tom and Aunt Kim came to visit. We were so glad they made the long trip and in such bad traffic too. They brought Jack his first Hawaiian shirt and told us about their trip and cruise to Hawaii. We were all most impressed and jealous. We particularly like the hot lava stories.

Chris and Karen are not as mobile as we once were and we are sure we bored Tom and Kim with our mundane life but, we did manage to have some new baby fun including taking the whole family and Cubby to Bruce Pitt (a dog park extra ordinaire) and going for brunch at Broadways. Kim, being a musical buff, seemed impressed by the Broadway posters . We ate lots of eggs and Jack ate toast and potatoes and left such a mess under his high chair I think they would have had to recarpet to clean up. It is ok, we left while the waitress looked the other way.

We were unable to go to our families for Easter as Dad (grandpa) was sick but we did have Grandma and auntie Caitlin over for Easter dinner on Sunday. It was rather quiet but Jack managed to liven it up. He does love a 'party' and cried when he had to go up for his bath.

In other news Jack is continuing his acquisition of teeth, he is up to 5. We are all glad as he is not a happy baby while the teeth are coming in. Jack is really starting to flourish, he loves to walk holding fingers (yes and he is only 8 months, no one ever believes mom until they see it for themselves). He does not however know how to crawl or seem to have any interest in learning anytime soon. Popular opinion is that he will skip that step all together.

And lastly we have joined the ranks of the Birkenstock wearing, tree hugging, Soya milk drinking families. It is believed that Jack is allergic or possibly sensitive to milk and so we have moved on to Soya formula. His skin irritations seem to have cleared up.
