Ahh....Cuba libre
Ah, the first full day in Cuba. Jack woke us up at 5 am saying "I wanna go to the beach". It was black out.

Making our way through winter.
Well it has been a while since I blogged but what can I say, between the bus strike and -20 to -30 weather and other things it has been a really crazy January and now February. I have been driving Chris to work and then Jack to day care and the reverse on the way home. Today Chris skated to work on the canal to I had to drop him there. He is really adventurous as it was -20 today before the wind chill. I wore snow pants to walk from my car (no joke).
We play in the snow but not for too long with this weather so we have been playing inside. we play cars and trains and watching movies, namely Monsters Inc, 4000 times and Cars only about 300 times as it is new. It is an exaggeration but you get the point.
Jack has been talking quite a bit more now and has some cute quips as of late, "mommy GO!" (when we are stuck in traffic), "buy applejuice" (when we are at the grocery store), "Where daddy go" (whenever Chris leaves the room), and "Cookies!" (when asked if he wants to visit Grandma).
The big news around here is that Caitlin got engaged and I think the date is October 2, 2010. We are all excited for her. I am the maid of honour so that is cool.
Other big news is that jack slept through the night 5 nights is a row. Chris told Jack he could have a present if he did it two more nights, to which Jack replied "Truck?". "Yes you can have any toy you want if you sleep though the night". He did not complete his winning streak as he was up last night but we will have to try again.
We are hoping to go south this March but timing is tough this year and we are trying to keep it fairly simple so we have not come up with an option. All we know is that a drink on a warm beach sounds great right about now.

He is now able to point to letters that I ask him to identify and apparently can count to 5 (according to Ginette but as of yet I have not heard this one).
We like to make races on our walks which involves stopping at all cracks in the road and counting "one, two, three, go!".
He is more and more becoming an artist and loving drawing and trying to write, he even holds the crayon correctly. He loves to do puzzles and he loves watching Poplular Mechanics for Kids, Fraggle Rock, and any animal show. He does the bear and birds sounds well.
Grandma Nan is coming tonight on the Choo-shoo and jack was excited but pointed to himself and wanted to go on the train too. Not sure that will happen, especially since he wants the dog to go as well.
Well that,s all for updates and documentation (more for us that anyone else).
